Just a little bit of everything, you know?
Tapestries and banners and larger-than-life Mr. Clean dolls. You know, the usual.
I bought the 72 pack of double-ended Prismacolor markers and never looked back.
Sometimes you just need to fill a room with paper cootie catchers, amiright?
All sorts of fun with stop-motion animation.
Typically led by ideas, rather than process, I've had my hand in a little bit of everything, art-wise. I especially like working with yarn, though. It’s soft and pretty and makes people say “wait...that’s art?”
Me, in a nutshell
Kyle was born and raised in Indianapolis, where she started in on the artsy fartsy stuff at a tender young age. She was pretty much convinced she’d be a world-famous fashion designer some day, which, to anyone who’s ever witnessed her current fashion sense, is quite laughable.
After earning her BA in English from Indiana University and attempting to be a “grown up” in the “real world,” Kyle decided she’d rather rack up a hefty amount of student loan debt getting some super practical fine arts degrees. She graduated with a BFA in Photography from the Herron School of Art & Design in 2010 and immediately whisked herself away to Scotland to nab an MFA in Visual Arts from the Glasgow School of Art. (Oh, aye.)
Now she’s back in the “real world,” making art and working her day job as Writer/Content Manager/Junior Designer/Production Artist at a tiny but lovely local design agency. She has no pets or children, but has managed to keep an assortment of houseplants alive for several months now, which she is pretty sure means she’s totally an adult.
Kyle likes meeting new people. And, like most artists, she definitely likes talking about her work. Do you have questions or comments? Want to buy or commission something? Shoot her an email, and she’ll be glad to chat.
